YouTube to remove video editor and photo slideshow features
YouTube has announced that its video editor and photo slideshows features will be removed from the service because it's not being utilized by content creators.
The company announced on its products forum that the feature will be removed on September 20th and it won't have any effect on videos edited and shared with the editing tool.
YouTube said that video enhancements such trimming, blurring, Filters, End Screens, Cards, Subtitles, Sound effects, Quick fixes (stabilize, contrast, slow motion, saturation, etc) will still be available and accessible through YouTube’s Video Manager once the editor is removed
In case you are looking to remix your uploaded videos into a new video, YouTube recommends you download 720p format or use Google Takeout to retrieve your original video file and use third party software for editing it.
