Samsung to debut Galaxy Note 8 on August 23rd
Samsung anticipated flagship smartphone, the Galaxy Note 8 which was rumored to be released September might debut on August 23rd.
TheBell has reported that Samsung Electronics will unveil Galaxy Note 8 next month at an unpacking event in New York. TheInvestor has confirmed the news from a Samsung executive though not given a specific date.
It's safe to conclude that the new smartphone will be launched in August and made available in the stores.
Report says Samsung intends to have the phone available globally by September. VentureBeat, Evan Blass speculates that the new Note phablet will have the same 6.2-inch screen as the Galaxy S8 Plus, as well as 12-megapixel dual rear cameras and a signature S Pen. The device would also feature fingerprint sensor and could be available in blue, black, and gold.
The earlier launch comes amid growing speculations that Apple’s iPhone 8 launch could be delayed due to supply constraints of some parts such as chips and displays.
The new device is expected to have the English version of Samsung’s artificial intelligence assistant Bixby and an upgraded stylus S-Pen that supports translation functions.
The Samsung Note 8 which succeeds the ill-fated Note 7 of last year may have a 6.3-inch display screen.
